IDEA CA together with NGO "Kyrgyz Indigo" in partnership with BDC and RDB with the support of the Embassy of Switzerland and the US Embassy in Kyrgyzstan conducted a tournament on parliamentary debate "Equality Cup". The tournament was held in two languages: Kyrgyz and Russian, where 28 teams took part.
From November 26-28, high school students - members of the school parliament (SP) and representatives of the local governments of the Issyk-Ata district in the frames of "Kyrgyzstan Friendly to Children and Youth" project were trained how to strengthen the role of school parliaments.
You might think that dialogue and our own core focus of debate are the same, or at least very similar. But the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change yesterday assured us that while there are some common elements they are not at all the same. The Institute provided a capacity building workshop for iDebate's Debate Coaches and Fellows with training into using dialogue to support young people to be resilient to extremist idealogies.
So what is dialogue?
