Below is an e-mail on this year's WUPID in December.
The UN officials who condemned footages of Amy Winehouse in her sandals with injection marks between her toes, has probably not seen the university debating culture glamorising the “debate high” that debaters got from continuous quality debating and adjudication at the inaugural WUPID last year (2007).
Update on WUPID 2008 from MLYSN
The website will be up by May - guaranteed, as my website designer is getting married on the 31st, hence he needs to get his job done before his long long break. However, you would still be able to get the latest news regarding the event’s progress from MLYSN starting from today. So here are some updates:

Yunus from WUPID has posted the following on his blog http://mlysn.wordpress.com/
Having organized two debate events and numerous numbers of other debate unrelated events, I’ve grown to be more learned about the trick of the trade. This of course, is downright wrong.
Even when you spend hundreds of thousands for free accommodation, fun, quality adjudication core and etc, you would always be able to capture some unhappy, disappointed faces at the event – and as luck would have it, outside the event as well.
