IDEA CA has recently worked with high school students in Issyk-Ata district (Chui Province) and Suzak district (Jalalabad Province) to teach them about how to open and manage debate clubs at school, as well as general information about debate.
The graduates of Media Camp 2017 continue their active work not only publishing their materials in the media, but also conducting educational events. In Kazakhstan (Shymkent) and Kyrgyzstan (Osh and Karakol) was held iTalk (iTalk - a platform for public speaking) on the theme "Media and Ethics". Invited speakers shared their stories when they faced with violations of journalistic ethics, as well as what should be done in such situations; how to properly prepare stories; how to check the news; cyber psychology and self-realization of youth through work in NGOs.
The two-week long International Media Camp "Youth as the basis of democratic future” has started in Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan).
Participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have been attending the camp.

The fifth Bishkek Debates League took place in Kyrgyzstan from 1 to 29 March 2014 in association with IDEA’s new office in Central Asia.The tournament involved 44 teams from more than 10 institutions in Kyrgyzstan and took place over seven days across weekends in March. The League was divided in to two rounds and the final match days of the competition were held from the 22 to 23 March at the American University of Central Asia, with the semi-finals and finals on 29 March.
