The two-week long International Media Camp "Youth as the basis of democratic future” has started in Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan).

Participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have been attending the camp.

Nowadays media – whether it is journalism, documentary photography or social media - plays an important role in shaping people’s consciousness around the world. Due to the media, we may emphasize one social or political issue at the expense of ignoring others.

The power of idea. The first iTalk took place in Bishkek in March organised by IDEA Central Asia.iTalk is a platform of public speaking for young people.The event will run once a quarter, each time on one topic. The main line of the first iTalk was «Idea and ...".Six speakers from different spheres shared their experiences and success stories with the audience during nine-minute presentations.This time all presentations were about the power of ideas, which can be implemented in everyday life.

International Debate Education Association in Central Asia (IDEA CA) and internet edition (one of the most popular news source in Kyrgyz Republic) have launched a new project “Open discussions”. It is a series of public discussions in the form of a round table.The panelists are socially active young people and the best debaters in the country. Along with politicians, experts, MPs and other officials, they will discuss the challenges that society faces.The first discussion on the topic "Economics and Business of Kyrgyzstan in the transition period.

Sixty young leaders from Central Asia took part in the second Asian Development Bank Asia Youth Forum from 30 April to 5 May 2014 at Nazarbaev University in Astana, the national capital of Kazakhstan in association with IDEA Central Asia.The theme of the event was Partnership Beyond Borders and the program included training on environmental protection, protecting water resources and developing the quality of education.The event culminated in a debate tournament New Silk Roads: Linking Asia to a Changing World which took place in English following the Asian-Australian debat
