We are delighted to announce that Margo Loor will be joining us at the IDEA Debate Exchange, where he will bepart of the trainers' track. IDE is a weeklong exchange where debaters learn how to become better debate educators, event organisers and club runners. It is a vital way to learn best practices from each other, and improve the quality of the European debate circuits.

Debating Threats to Democracy has just ended with a strong international event in Bratislava

We started the City and Islington 6th form debate club at the end of September this year. We’ve had seven sessions by now and we have already seen the students come in leaps and bounds, which is always amazing to watch.

Young adults (volunteers)  and youth workers from more than 18 European countries are coordinated in the European initiative 'OPEN UP! Connecting Youth to Society'. They will debate and share ideas on a “Solidary Europe for ALL” at the European Parliament on Tuesday 9.00 - 10.30, November 29th.

IDEA Central Asia is seeking a Fundraising Manager. Reporting to the Executive Director of IDEA Central Asia (based in Bishkek), the Fundraising Manager will be responsible for shaping and leading the fundraising activities of IDEA Central Asia. A high level of responsibility will be matched with competitive salary.

        The debate club at Hackney Community College has been awarded a grant by the local grant maker the East End Community Foundation. The grant is to create and develop the club at the college which runs for a couple of hours every Wednesday afternoon teaching debate to disadvantaged young people.
