IDEA CA and the OSCE Academy conducted trainings within the framework of the project on changing attitudes towards bride kidnapping
From 9 to 12 December IDEA CA together with the PF "Academy of OSCE" within the framework of the project on changing attitudes towards bride kidnapping conducted a training on "Tradition or crime? Gender, stereotypes, discrimination" and the debating tournament "HUMAN RIGHTS CUP 2017" for schoolchildren from new buildings.
About forty schoolchildren of 8-11 grades from nine schools of novostroika passed the training. Trainers were invited experts in the field of gender, history and research. Participants of the training got knowledge on legislation and international documents on the protection of the girls rights in the Kyrgyz Republic. Themes of early marriages, bride kidnapping, terminologis "Ala-kachuu" and "Zorduk", etc. were discussed. Schoolchildren also learned the techniques of effective debates. The final project was the debut tournament "HUMAN RIGHTS CUP 2017". The debates focused on human rights and gender equality.

In the Kyrgyz League: Nurkaliy Masalbekov and Biimyrza kyzy Jinat from school No. 88. The best speaker was Edil ulu Ernis (School No. 35).
In the Russian league: Alibek Zhonbutayev (School No. 46) and Bermet Mamytova (School No. 93). The best speaker was Alibek Zhonbutayev (School No. 46).
