Rebuttal Re-do
After an in-class debate, the teacher or coach gives a few notes for improvement to the rebuttal speaker. These notes may focus on issue selection, analysis, logical errors, or any other problem. The speaker then redoes the speech on the spot, correcting the mistakes. To increase the challenge, the teacher may reduce the time allowance of the speech to reinforce the concept of issue selection. To involve the class, the teacher may ask other students to provide feedback to the speaker.
