Hist win 2008 Irish Times

The Trinity Historical society team of Chris Kissane and David Kenny won the 2008 Irish Times Debating Championships last night (one of the Irish National Championships, the other being the Irish Mace).The winner of the individual category was Stephen Boyle from UCD L&H.
The Team Runners up were Ross McGuire and Marguerite Carter of UCD Law and The Individual runner up was John Gallagher from TCD Hist.

The Final was held by UCD Law and the motion was "This House believes that Ireland owes a debt of gratitude to the Catholic Church".
