WSDC 2013 motions announced

The prepared motions for the 2013 World Schools Debating Championship, to be held in Antalya, Turkey, were announced today.

Motions: preliminary rounds

The exact rounds in which these motions will be debated are being finalized with the organisers and will be made known in due course

• This house supports greater US military presence in East Asia
• This house believes that important decisions about children's health should be made by medical professionals and not by their parents
• This house would cease the exploitation of resources in the Arctic region
• This house supports sovereign debt default as a legitimate economic strategy for countries

Motion: Grand Final

• This house believes that Turkey is better off outside the European Union
