WDF Berlin 2013 : Presentations!

Hello everyone!
Just sharing some quick WDF updates! Here are some of the presentations we have on offer this year
•A preliminary Comparative Study of Chinese and American College Students' Argumentation Strategies, by Dr. Helena He of Fudan University, China, who also regularly judges the out rounds at FLTRP.
•A Pedagogical Study on Teaching English Public Speaking and Debating Course in a Chinese University, by Ms. Liu Hongtao, a teacher in the College of Foreign Languages, of the Beijing University of Technology, and debate coach, organizer and judge.
•Al Munathara Al Arabiya: The Spread of Arabic Debating, by Ms. Tasneem Elias, from Qatar Debate and also Deputy Chief Adjudicator of Australs 2013.
•The role of debate in Economic Development : A case of study of The Republic of Botswana, by Ms. Veronica Ofaletse, from the Botswana Accountancy College aka The Botswana Business School, and Patron of the Business Hive.
•Establishing a Training of Trainers program in Germany, by Philipp Stiel, President of VDCH - Association of German Speaking University Debating Societies
•Debating and Language learning in French Higher Education, by Anne O'Mahoney, Head of the LACS Department (LACS: Languages, Arts, Cutures, Social Science and Sports) at ISAE Supaero, a French Graduate Engineering School in Toulouse. Presently writing a PhD on English language learning through Debating in French Higher Education.
•Negotiating the Self : Debating RCH in Rehabilitation Colonies and Urban Slums in Delhi, by Ina Goel, of Delhi University and All India Radio. WDF Delhi Alumnus.
There will also be presentations on IDEA's incredibly succesfuly Debate in the Neighbourhood Program, an Urban Debate Initiative in Osan City, South Korea, on the ESL/EFL categories and their impact on debating and many more! Presenters include Doug Cochran, James Kilcup, Manos Moschopoulous and more!
Those interested to attend can register for Stay@home registration (40 EUR a person, includes opening dinner, meals during the forum) or pay the daily Walk In Fee (5 EUR, forum facilities only). If you want to present, we might be able to squeeze you in, so send us an email quickly.
