Stockholm School of Economics in Riga Debate Academy 2013
Submitted by Colm Flynn on 20 March 2013
The Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSER) Debate Society will host the second Debate Academy in the Baltics from May 31 to June 2. The event will gather successful debaters and adjudicators from all around Europe, who will give valuable workshops for participants with different levels of debating experience. The event will end with a tournament, putting the new knowledge in practice.
The Debate Academy will last for 3 days and will consist of 7 workshops held in 4 parallel rooms for various ability levels and a mini tournament (4 rounds and finals). The events organized by the SSER Debate Society are renowned among debaters for offering not only great debating opportunities, but also fantastic atmosphere during the rest of time.
The participation fee for the event is 45 EUR per person and it includes 7 meals, 3 nights in a hotel, an entrance fee to our legendary SSER party and constant supply of various snacks and drinks during the day. However, if the participants do not want to stay in the hotel or want to attend only workshops and not the tournament, smaller registration fee is offered (for more detailed information please follow the registration link below).
The event will take place at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga from May 31 to June 2. The Debate Academy will be held in English. Both high school and university students are welcomed.
