Welcome to the Millennium Development Goals Curriculum website.
We share Our world with approximately 6.475 billion other people. But millions of our world's citizens are suffering and dying from preventable causes - and most of us are not even aware of the terrible suffering and injustices they endure. Our purpose is to spread the word about their plight in the hope that the world's leaders will rise to the challenge and save millions of people through affordable and necessary interventions. Our purpose is to educate teachers and youth about the 8 MDG's, why they are needed, and what our responsibilitie are in achieving success.
If you are a student - your voice is needed to sound the alarm about the plight of your peers suffering in cities, towns, villages around the world. Youth around the world are inspiring the world in their commitment to save people's lives, childhoods, education, rights, health and land. This website gives you the tools to find out how you can help to end injustices and save lives. Really - your voice and your actions can save lives. Youth are a mighty and powerful force in affecting change - learn how you can raise your voice to save others.
If you are a teacher - we recognize that you are one of the most powerful and potent weapons in the fight against injustices suffered by people worldwide. In your work and influence with students, you are capable of exposing youth to truths that they may not otherwise be aware of. Teachers can inspire their students to action and decisions that can literally change the world with the right direction and guidance. If you are ready to expose your students to how many of the earth's citizens are forced to live and what our responsibility is in the fight for justice - this site is your starting point for great and powerful change.
If you are new to this site we recommend that you have a look at the MDGs first to familiarize yourself with them. These goals form a selection of key development issuesand are rooted in a human rights framework.
