Info

The ULU Debate Society is the debating society for current students and graduates of the University of London, and for students of other institutions in London currently without their own debating society.

We currently meet up every Wednesday at 7 pm in the ULU Building on Malet Street (usually in Room 2C). At that time we run workshops in debating, with the chance for you to take part in informal competitive debates, to receive some feedback afterwards from one of our coaches about the speech you've just given, and to develop your ability to construct a well-reasoned, coherent argument along with your public speaking skills.

All are welcome to come along, whether you're a seasoned veteran of intervarsity competitive debating tournaments or have never given debating a try before, whether you're currently based in London or just happen to be in town.

Tournaments CA'd/DCA'd by members of ULU this term include:
March 3: Nottingham Open (DCA Lindsay Bing)
March 17: Swansea IV (CA Jordan Anderson)
March 31: Kent IV (CA Jordan Anderson)
April 28: Hull Open (DCA Lindsay Bing)
