The Durham Open

Two days of high quality debating: five rounds of secen minute speeches, breaking to semis and a final. We are now the only competition on the UK circuit still offering OPEN MOTIONS! And of course, it wouldn't be a Durham competition without socials in 24, and copious amounts of yakka. Perfect for a bit of fun, or some serious Euros prep, or (if this is actually possible) both.

Registration fees: £40 per team if registering in advance, £50 on the day. Cheques should be made payable to 'Durham Union Society' and you can also pay by bank transfer if you like. The team cap is 48. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis until it is full.

Institutions that send teams are obliged to follow usual n-1 rules for judges.
