I support this house's argument
Bullies are occasioning a lot of pain, in every level; physical, psychological ... This is not only causing unrest for thousands of children around the world, but also school failure, and suicide for the worst cases.
According to ABC news statistics, 160,000 kids don’t go to school everyday because they are scared of bullying, and 30% of the students are either bullies or are bullied. Then, the CDC assures that over 14% of high school students have considered suicide, and 7% have attempted it. They also guarantee that for every student that commits suicide, 100 of them try to do it. This issue leads to the tragic number of 4,400 deaths caused by bulling per year.
So, if a young student is enough brave to fear, and cause trouble and harm in others, to get them to suicide, he should also be brave for assuming the consequences. A bully is a young malefactor. He satisfies himself watching others suffering. And if justice punishes almost every kind of harassing, why wouldn’t it hold students legally responsible for torturing someone to death?
No one is able to prevent or reduce bullying, only because the abusers are often careful not to be seen by their teachers or adults in general. And when they happen to see these acts of obloquy, they frequently pretend that nothing happened, or make a big but useless effort trying to talk or punish the bully. But the fact is that teacher’s job is teaching their students, not being policemen.
This is why, I think the only solution to avoid bullying is taking the punishments it to higher levels, showing students how important and dangerous it is, above all if has resulted in the victim’s death.
I recommend you to watch this video, which is very concerning and sensitizer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S03Br1dwJR8

I agree with this topic because just like if you suspect child abuse you must report it, and it must be treated the same as bullying.
