Joseph P. Zompetti is an associate professor in the School of Communication at Illinois State University. He has written extensively in the area of debate and argumentation, including the IDEA debate manual, Discovering the World Through Debate. He has taught and coached debate in the United States for nearly 20 years. He has served on the Board of Directors for IDEA-NL and conducted debate trainings in numerous countries.
